Is There a Data Cap?

• No. Windstream currently offers customers unlimited, uncapped data plans. Regardless of which plan is best for you—be it Standard, Enhanced, Premium, Premium Plus, or GIG.

Can I Use My Own Equipment?

• It may be possible to use an existing Windstream modem or a modem/router that has worked on another DSL provider's network. Please note that Windstream technical support cannot provide configuration or troubleshooting assistance on non-Windstream equipment.

• Premium Modem $11.99 (per month)

Additional Fees

• Activation fee of $50 (One time fee)
• Installation – Professional installation $35 (One time fee) Fee waived for Internet speeds of 15 Mbps and above
• Self Install - No Charge (in order to be eligible for self install, customer must have an ACTIVE PHONE JACK. The Modem will be shipped to the customer within 3 to 5 business days via FedEx. (15 Mbps and above not eligible for self-install option)

Minimum Requirements

What are the minimum requirements and supported operating systems that Windstream supports for Internet service?

At this time, Windstream's Broadband Help Desk provides Internet technical support to customers using the following operating systems:

• Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4
• Windows XP Service Pack 2 - Home/Professional/Media Center Edition
• Windows Vista
• Macintosh OS X - any version

With the supported operating systems, here are the minimum system requirements for each:

• Windows 2000: Pentium II processor (166 MHz) with 64 MB RAM
• Windows XP: Pentium II processor (300 MHz) with 128 MB RAM
• Windows Vista: Pentium 4 processor (1 GHz) with 512 MB RAM
• Macintosh: At least 128 MB of RAM
• 100 MB Hard Drive Space
• 10Base-T Ethernet Adapter
• An available USB port if Ethernet is not available (not supported by Windstream)

Unfortunately, our Broadband Help Desk does not provide Internet technical support for legacy operating systems including, but not limited to:
